It's really hard to find things in the boonies, which is our beloved New Brunswick, Canada :) It's so gorgeous here, but thank the Lord for Amazon deliveries…

Alfalfa hay pellets for goats. part of good nutrition. Alfalfa Hay, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Pregnancy Months, Pellet, 2 Months, Calcium, Bucks, Feeding, Grass
Alfalfa Hay Pellets for pregnant or lactating Goats
Our Nigerian Dwarf goats need the calcium and protein especially during the last 2 months of pregnancy and while they are milking. You won’t want to give your bucks or wethers or kids alfalfa as it can be part of a copper deficiency. Our does are used to their feeding routine. The pregnant does come inside for their alfalfa pellets while the other does stay outside for their grass pellets. It’s amazing what your goats will learn if you are consistent! See what our goats are eating now here.

Grass pellets for goats to help with good nutrition if the hay isn't very good. Orchard Grass, Foraging, Switch, Nutrition, Diet, Health, Green
Grass Pellets for Goats: Timothy or Orchard Grass pellets
This is a bag of the Timothy Grass pellets that we add to our Nigerians Dwarf goat’s diet if I feel that their hay isn’t green enough. The link goes to TSC Orchard Grass pellets which we have also used. We switch between orchard grass and timothy grass pellets for our goats. They like both!

Purina Goat Mineral. Loose goat mineral. Highly recommend for good nutrition. Amazon Delivery, Selenium, Purina, Thrifty, Ranges, Goats, Levels, Minerals, Homeschool
Loose Goat Mineral: Must have for your goats' good nutrition
This is the recommended loose goat mineral from the Thrifty Homesteader that we have been using. After discovering that our goats had a copper deficiency, I was pleased to find that the Purina loose goat mineral provides the highest levels of copper and selenium, along with the right combination of ingredients. We make it available to our goats 24/7, allowing them to consume the amount they require, which typically ranges from 1/4 to 1/2 ounce per day depending on the size of the goat.

The Fluffy Butt Essential ... finally!
I didn’t know when I’d need them but one day when your chickens have lost a lot of feathers or have a wound on their back – you know! You can find patterns for these on blogs all over the place but when you’re homesteading and have kids, who has time to sew? Ok, you probably do have time to sew because there are a bunch of amazing moms and daughters that make time but I don’t actually want to sew. 😉 These will...
