I love using Tzatziki on rice and greek salad, when I was a kid I would mix those all together with chicken or pork skewers. It also makes a great alternative to processed dressings and dips which are only a source of empty calories. My Tzatziki also helps raw veggies go down a lot easier.
Tofu is fast becoming one of my favourite ingredients. It’s so plain so you can play it up with sweet or savoury dishes. My current favourite is tossing chunks of marinated tofu in salads with roasted sweet potatoes, dark leafy greens and perhaps some nuts and raisins. YUM!
We eat while we walk, drive, watch TV, are on our phones, while we ride the bus, when is the last time you remember just EATING? Distracted eating often means we are overeating. No attention is paid to how full you are, or if you are even enjoying what you’re shovelling in. I believe distracted eating and eating quickly are significant contributors to the obesity epidemic.
