Even this graphic is just a guideline, not a law. It sounds hokey but as long as you're pushing yourself, keeping great technique, and progressively lifting more weight over time. you're going to make progress. After 72 hours the muscle building signal is diminished and the nutrients and protein you consume won't be utilized as efficiently to build muscle.- My preferred way of running PPL is 6 day on, 1 day off repeat. This is a higher volume approach which is what I prefer, but you can also do 3 on, 1 off.
