Two species of Doublecollard Sunbirds inhabit the fynbo, evergreen scrubland and forest fringes. This specimen is the Greater Doublecollared Sunbird - Nectarina afra - identified by the broad band of carmine across its belly. It is also larger than its cousin, the Lesser Doublebanded Sunbird and its thicker bill is diagnostic.

The Purple-crested Turaco (Tauraco porphyreolophus) is a species of bird in the Musophagidae family. It is found in Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This bird has a purple coloured crest above a green head, a red ring around their eyes, and a black bill. The neck and chest are green and brown. The rest of the body is purple, with red flight feathers.

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland.

Southern Pied Babbler(Turdoides bicolor) is a species of bird in the Timaliidae family. It is found in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitat is dry savanna. It is a medium-sized (75-95 g) cooperatively breeding passerine bird. Groups range in size from 2-16 adults, but pairs are rare.

Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird (Pogoniulus chrysoconus)
The Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird (Pogoniulus chrysoconus) is a small African barbet formerly known as Yellow-fronted Tinker Barbet. Barbets are near passerine birds with bristles around the base of the bill and a world-wide tropical distribution. The Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird is a widespread and frequently common resident breeder in much of Africa, south of the Sahara Desert.
