The minutes from this month’s Bank of England (BOE) meeting on Wednesday revealed that two members of the Monetary Policy Committee voted for an immediate 0.25% rate increase, the first dissent at the central bank since July 2011. Also on Wednesday, the U.S. Federal Reserve released the minutes of its July 29-30 meeting and they showed that hawkish dissent is more widespread than expected.
