Black Style in the 1940s

Black Style in the 1940s. I am a proponent of citing sources - the photos lose their significance & relevance when there is no context to my mind. Even an attempt to date the photos using costume history is helpful. My thanks to the Toronto Vintage Society and to my friends in the Toronto Burlesque and Vaudeville Alliance, as well as members of the Society for Creative Anachronism for their assistance. Images displayed here are not owned by the poster and shown here for educational purposes.
