This really does look like an IKEA hack but it links to a blog which leads me nowhere.
I would love to work on a variation of this here. In our own home, there is a closet along the left-hand side of the doorway, but I believe it would pull nicely with a touch of paneling for the opposite side. That way, with my intention of bringing in colour to the entrance/hallway, it still wouldn't feel too dark. (Lack of natural light at the front of the house is an issue atm.)
