Enjoyed my mountain hike so much I did it again today... . We've been taking advantage of the gorgeous (and soon to be gone) weather before the snow sets in....oh for about 4 months or so... .. Soon everything will be white and icy.... .. Who else lives in a snow globe winter wonderland? .. .. .
As far as their ability to predict winter goes....these snowberry bushes are all over the map... . Some are loaded while others has almost nothing. The same goes with the Mountain Ash tree berries....hit and miss. It's said the heavier the berry crop the harder the winter. . We walked beside the river in Enderby, the sun sparkled on the icy snow as our feet crunched along the path, the swans paddled in the slow current, it was a beautiful ending to a full year. . Happy New Year. . .
The weakening Sun's shadowy fingers twine into the very depth of my heart. . It makes me feel a renewed love for all the beauty that the Winter season brings us. . Maybe you tolerate winter, or maybe it makes your heart quicken in a way that brings you joy like it does to me... . RURAL magazine is publishing a bonus issue at the end of January titled Winter Love...I hope to share my love of this cold season with you. . If you are interested in subscribing to the magazine the link is in my…
Last week's sunshine left us with a hefty price to pay. Looking at those images now, amid our grey, admitably warmer but snowfally, and ever so slippery, filled with ice landscape.I'm convinced it was worth it.
