The invisible, indivisible individual. Though smaller in magnitude, the atma is the same in quality as Paramatma, the Supreme Being who pervades and sustains all matter. Atma is not a synonym for “soul”. Soul is an Abrahamic term used to refer to a ‘one-lifetime-then-consequences’ paradigm. In contrast, the atma is immortal, with no beginning and no end.
