Day 6 is all about BALANCE and YOGA (of course)! We test our balance on the floor to start and then gradually work our way to standing balancing postures. We spend time establishing a strong foundation by exploring our connection to the earth. Establishing a strong base can help us hold balancing postures with more ease. Not only do we explore balancing postures, but we also explore our personal understanding of the word ‘balance.’ Enjoy 🙏
In Day 5 of our 7 Day Yoga Challenge, we engage in gentle lower body stretches with particular attention to the hips and hamstrings. This is a great class to favorite if you are a runner and/or if you are on your feet for most of your day. This practice can help bring some energy to the lower body and can assist in the recovery period. I hope that you enjoy this lower body stretch class! Take care 🙏
Engaging in postures and movements that are intended to strengthen the core can help improve posture, balance, stabilizes muscles, offers protection to organs, and can reduce the likelihood of falls or injury. Our class begins with a gentle warm-up to the spine and torso. We also explore this idea of “bracing” or “engaging” our core muscles through our breath. This Core Strength Yoga Flow includes some of the very best movements and postures for strengthening the core muscles. Enjoy 🥰
Our Detox Yoga Flow includes yoga twists, inversions and some core work. Yoga twists are said to “massage the internal organs,” while encouraging a healthy rotation in the spine and gentle compression to the belly region. This twisting action in conjunction with the gentle compression can get things moving downward and outward. Ultimately, twisting yoga postures are great for digestive health! This class will give the mind and body a really good rinse! Enjoy 🤗
Heart openers are said to release trapped emotions or feelings that do not serve us well in the present moment. By “opening our hearts,” we create space for things that serve us well. This could be love, happiness, joy, setting healthy boundaries, self-care, and so on. What you create space for is unique to you and your journey. This class offers a gentle wake-up to the mind and body as we ease into the day. We ease into this Morning Yoga Stretch with gentle movement and stretches. We bring awareness to the breath right away as breathwork can help prepare both the mind and body for the day ahead. This class is fantastic when you are feeling low in energy, and/or if you are experiencing stiff and sore muscles. Enjoy 🙏
