First cheetah I ever saw was in Etosha, Namibia. Two actually within half an hour. Throw in black rhino, lion lying in ambush at a waterhole and beautiful gemsbok and you have a wildlife experience that is hard to beat. http://www.adventurecenter.com/details?TripID=572

Bonito, Brazil is the place where one snorkels in rainforest rivers. But few make it to the Buraco das Araras (Macaw's Hole), a collapsed cave where red macaws nest and fly around. Beautiful spot, not to be missed!

I visited Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the two remaining habitats for Sumatran orang-utans. This is one of the largest national parks in the world, containing over 800,000 hectares of virgin rainforest. I explored the trails, searching for orang-utans and wildlife. I also visited a feeding session where rehabilitated orphans and captured orang-utans are cared for until they are ready to be released into the wild. An amazing experience! http://www.adventurecenter.com/details?TripID=14948
a gorilla sitting on its back in the grass
I went gorilla trekking in central Africa - one of the most memorable experiences in my life! Seeing the youngsters at play, the females looking after them and the silverback keeping a casual watch was amazing enough. Then a mating happened - it was over before you knew it - the female was disinterested and the male would have smoked a cigarette afterwards, had he known what is was...

Ring-tailed lemurs in Madagascar are but one of many species of lemur found there. My most memorable experience is waking up to the sound of the Indri indri in Andasibe National Park. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kue1EBc9ZRk
