Tossing the coins for The Scramble following the cereomy just outside of the Wapiti Rooms. ( The Scramble is a Scottish tradition where the Bride and Groom toss coins for the children, and what ever they give away, they are to get back ten-fold )
Even though the outdoor ceremony we had planned did not work out, it was all so gorgeous. With the Wapiti Rooms being situated as they are, we still had the same view of the pond and forest. It was amazing.
We were so thankful we were able to get some outdoor photos on our incleminent wedding day !
Our fabulous wedding party infront of the impressive fireplace in the Elk Ridge reception area.
Our marriage commissioner, Jane Ganchar lives out at Elk Ridge with her husband, Tom. Jane helped us create a ceremony that celebrated both our Canadian and Scottish cultures, as well as helping us keep our ceremony very personal to the two of us. It was filled with wonderful music, personal vows, readings from our friends, and a Scottish blessing in Gaelic. This amazing woman put so much personal time and effort into making everything perfect for us !
