A milk jug igloo!

Igloos are cool. What kid hasn't wanted to build an igloo? You can easily build an milk jug igloo in your classroom with some planning, lots of milk jugs and hot glue. This could be a fun winter craft for the kids when it's too cold to go out.

Alberta Social Studies: Traditions (story telling). The Owl and the Lemming. An Eskimo Legend

Alberta Social Studies Grade 2 Culture and Traditions. Created by Janet Smith and Heather Connolly. We had the children pick one of the three focus communities and write key words and draw pictures about it. The pictures directly related to culture and traditions. We then had them use sharpie to draw their pictures and include their keywords on styrofoam blocks. We used white glue to construct an inuksuk.
