Worlds of Fun Souvenir Book Front and back cover - 1977
Worlds of Fun (in Kansas Ctiy, Missouri) is the amusement park from my youth. I have been there a number of times, as it's only a five or six hour drive from my home town in Nebraska. This neat little souvenir book highlights the attractions that were there in 1977. The park has gone through a lot of changes over the years, but it's still there, and I'd bet at least a few of these rides remain.

I'd been wanting to get one of these 1973 Worlds of Fun maps for quite a while, and finally tracked one down on Ebay. While not in the greatest of shape, it remains pretty cool. And I can finally peruse the artwork on this beauty up-close. During my childhood I had the pleasure of visiting Worlds of Fun a number of times. Ski Heis at World's of Fun - Ski Heis was the Scandinavian name for Worlds of Fun's sky cable ride. The ride took guests across the park on a 400 foot long gondola cable from Scandinavia to Americana.
