Richmond Hill, Ontario

Some gorgeous foliage in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Aurora was once proudly known as Canada's Birthday Town. The memorial tower was first unveiled in 1925, to honour the names of the 77 local men who gave their lives in The Great War. The bronze lantern at the top of the tower burns continuously, seventy-three feet above the ground. The "Altar of Sacrifice" was added in 1960 to salute the 55 names of the heroes from the Second World War. The entire park is known as the Aurora Memorial Peace Park.
