How do you define watercolour? This exhibition investigates into the Gallery’s collection of watercolour paintings uncovering an unexpected array of works that challenge typical assumptions of the often "safer" medium of watercolour. These works are "so much more than pretty". Included artists: Maxwell Bates, Pat Martin Bates, Emily Carr, Pegi Nicol Mcleod, Jack Shadbolt, Herbert Siebner, Phoebe Anna Traquair, Margaret Peterson, Mark Tobey and Vera Weatherbie
