Aurora (by Jamie Pearson and Lemma Redda) was recently erected for the London 2012 Olympic Games. In an attempt to transform a public space, 1500 translucent hula-hoops were suspended from trees in London’s Victoria Park.

Maybe not hoops but a more random / linear / spiky pattern? Triangular hoops?

This Zip Tie Lamp was a real joy and pain to create. It was a joy, because I was so pleased with the outcome, but wrestling this form as it came together proved to.
