The Longhouse Project

Little Girl’s Assignment: Build a longhouse or wigwam, using as many natural resources as possible. She was determined not to use anything other than natural resources.

Each of my tables could their own group totem pole for our Canadian symbols unit. Each person in the group coudl choose its own animal.

This is an awesome totem pole project for Native American unit. I would use this project only AFTER teaching my students about the significance and meaning of totem poles in Native American cultures.
