Niki Jabbour - The Year Round Veggie Gardener
A blog about my adventures as a professional garden writer, radio show host and obsessive veggie gardener! My first book, the award-winning, The Year Round Vegetable Gardener, was published in 2012 and Groundbreaking Food Gardens hit shelves in March 2014!
I'm so excited about our 'new' outdoor sink just in time for spring gardening! Hubby scored a commercial, stainless steel, 3 compartment sink from a restaurant closing and installed it in what will be our outdoor potting area. He's hooked up the water and drainage, so the basics are in place. Now, it's my turn to create the ambience. I'm thinking a little of the rustic appeal like in the Marie Claire photo (above left), plenty of room for pots, tools and plants like the Southern Living image…
DIY Potting Shed
The idea to build a potting shed began with a seed -- a sentence, really -- that took hold in my partner's brain. There, it rooted and sprouted, growing into a longer-than-a-weekend DIY project. In short, the potting shed has a storage side, a potting side, a grow area, and a loft for storage. The original blog post ( https://wp.me/P1w6cN-1yh) features drawings and plans for the potting shed.
