My hobby when I was growing up on the Farm in Kojonup was to search out all the different wildflowers on our property. As they all grew in different soils they were scattered in different areas. Spent many hours wondering around the Bush.
Flannel Flower
Upon arriving in Sydney, I encountered several references to the Flannel Flower (Actinotus helianthi) -- which apparently is seen as a symbol of the area. I encountered this specimen while hiking along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the southeastern suburbs of Sydney.
