Through studies of Japanese traditional arts, and sharing these with others, I discovered that 'surrender' was the greatest gift I came to understand in facilitating my studies, and most common block inhibiting the smooth transmission of knowledge and wisdom. This collection of photos and quotes is of the garden I designed here at Camellia House in Ottawa, Canada and the quotes come to me in moments of meditation. Enjoy! Visit us at www.camelliateas.net
www.camelliateas.net The Camellia Teas cat, Heney-chan is a wonderful teacher... She teaches me to define my borders, to set limits. Animals each have their own message: listen with an open heart and there is so much to learn!
We all have our own Path. Even though, the position of another might be truly, 'in the way', in 'our way', it is just Perfect for Them. Try to open your heart and allow that for another :-) Generosity of spirit is a beautiful gift!
Arrogance, the passionate need to be Most Right is something powerful to guard ourselves against - it limits us more than it benefits. Those who have sincere and Masterful Humility have many followers, many friends.
One of my favourite experiences of raking our ZenBox is to start in a circle, either around a stone or just from the center of the garden.. I imagine the drop of a single tear, a single moment - a single word - gesture - that can transform your entire world and universe. For me - meeting Japan, meeting Chado, meeting so many of YOU, have been this drop, this ripple.. thank you so much to everyone!
Surrendering to our need for help, it is not a weakness or vulnerability. It is facing struggle with honesty, and allowing those around you, who love and support you, to be of service and help. Allow yourself to receive; allow others to help - it is a gift to all!
