Sheet-pan Cheeseburger Quesadillas
This recipe is adapted from the original developed by East Coaster, Kelly Neil. This sheet-pan method for making burgers in the winter season is genius – clean up is simple compared to the spatter-mess that you get from cooking burgers in the fry-pan on top of the stove. We adapted the recipe to make square patties for simplicity. Lots of veggies and less bread make this recipe a contemporary twist on the traditional burger meal.

Traditionally, it’s the low and slow cooking process that adds silkiness to the sauce, but you can get it done in less than 30 minutes thanks to the digital pressure cookers! Shel claims that only beef can deliver the rich satisfaction of this traditional Italian dish – no other grinds can do it.

Healthy Bowl with Dry-brined Steak
Adapted from a CJ Katz family-favourite, this recipe uses thin slices of AAA steak to build the bowl along with rice or cooked lentils, veggies, hummus and a drizzle of homemade tahini sauce. CJ’s ‘dry brine method’ is her secret to steak with incredible flavour and tenderness. By applying the ‘dry-brine’ rub at least 6 hours in advance of cooking, the seasoning draws out moisture and then the steak re-absorbs the seasoned juices. This recipe just wouldn’t be the same without beef! For more from
