INSTRUCTION: In this activity the students have the opportunity to partake in a classroom post office where they will be instructed to create a classroom letter, learn the components of letter writing and become familiar with concepts of print.

INSTRUCTION: This activity allows students to develop their concepts of print as they interact with predictable sentences that were created by the students to create a class book. It also allows them to become familiar with sentence structure as they rearrange the sentences to make different pages. This is very engaging for the students as they have created the sentences themselves and it has meaning to them.

--> "Fill-in-the-Blank Sentences" helps students understand how written sentences convey meaning just like spoken sentences. It's so important to be explicit about these concepts of print. They can also point out capitals as well as punctuation that occurs in the sentence.
