I thought my charcuterie boards were big. check out and these huge Charcuterie boards! Impressive to say the least. Fellow Canadian to boot!
Was trying to find a wood-est picture while I’m down in Cuba. The street on the west side of the plaza de Armes is a parquet of wood. This, supposedly so that passing carriages would not disturb the governor’s sleep. Originally of long-lasting ironwood, the street was recently relaid with blocks of inferior quality and is deteriorating. Too bad they didn’t reuse Ironwood.
Relaxing in Varadero. Such a beautiful place! #beach #sun #vacation #notwoodworking
Such a fun evening with amazing entertainment. Sad to leave tomorrow but happy to pick up @lashitudebylindsay and head to Cuba on Sunday. Blessed to be part of an amazing company
Going to be a tad quiet here for a few weeks. Company trip to Cabo and then off to Cuba for our 10 year anniversary trip with @lashitudebylindsay
This coffee table assembly is complete! Will run some gun blue over the meta to reduce the shine on the corners, spray some clear and then apply some finish to the top. All of that once it warms up and I’m back from vacation!
Sharing sunnier (and warmer days) with a collaboration I did with @forge_53. Such a fun project with some lengthy boards. Love the charcoal finish they choose.
While not woodworking, I always love coming to Microsoft HQ. Nice to see the road map from a corporate perspective. Beautiful campus as well, they definitely like White Oak ;)
Metal and wood, such a cool combination. Didn’t finish mounting all the boards but here is a teaser. Stain used was General Finishes Walnut Gel Stain.
Sad to hear of Warren Miller’s passing today. Many of you on my feed may not know who Warren Miller was, but he was an amazing producer of ski films. I have fond memories of my dad taking me to see these films prior to the ski season and it always got me pumped. It was a tradition every year to see these films. Warren, I trust you are skiing steeper and deeper in Heaven. RIP
Trying out the new @ridgidpowertools corded router. Went with the corded as I didn’t want a new battery eco system in the shop. So far it’s been a great tool and have these boards a nice 1/8” round over.
This new design charcuterie board, inspired by @rustic_designs_by_rich is good to go! This will be a personal use board for once. Has a perfect spot in the kitchen as well, one could even call it “wall art” 🤔
Sneak peak at this weekend’s project. Excited to work on a project that combines metal and wood again. A new collaboration with @kingfeta this time around.
Curves for days. Love now this board is turning out and while not as thick as what I’ve normally done, it’s turning out to be my new favourite.
Trying a new charcuterie board style inspired by @rustic_designs_by_rich. Just filled the knots with @ecopoxy and tinted it with black pigment. Will be able to clean the board up tomorrow and hit it with oil.
This board is ready to go! I wasn’t 100% sure if this would look good but I think it turned out well. Really digging the EcoPoxy metallic tints these days.
