The Cataraqui Trail is an important link in the trail network in Eastern Ontario. It is a four season trail for hikers, cyclists, equestrians, snowmobilers and cross-country skiers following the former CN railway line from Strathcona near Napanee to Smiths Falls - a distance of 104 km
Marshlands Conservation Area provides wildlife habitat, flood storage and green space in the middle of an urban area. Most of this area is kept in a natural state and the only facilities planned for these lands are the existing Rideau Trail and the parking lot at the trailhead on King Street.
Bordered by Lake Ontario and Collins Bay, Lemoine Point Conservation Area is 136 hectares of forest, field and marsh, with a spectacular waterfront. Many opportunities for recreation and nature appreciation are available in all season.
Gould Lake Conservation Ares is 589 hectares of wilderness located in the Canadian Shield. It is also the headwaters for the Millhaven Creek System. Gould Lake and the surrounding lands are not only important for water management, they also provide excellent wildlife habitat and offer many opportunities for nature appreciation and recreation in all season.
