There are a couple of names that everyone associates with Seattle: Bill Gates, Starbucks,Jimi Hendrix, and Dale Chihuly. This piece is part of a outdoor Art Installation, called the Glass Garden that is being installed to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1962 World's Fair that was held in Seattle. It is on the Seattle Centre grounds, right beside the Space Needle, and looks like it is going to be incredible. Can't Wait!

A few more pieces being erected in the Dale Chihuly 'Glass Garden' installation at Seattle's 1962 Worlds Fair grounds. These are the large pieces, but the smaller pieces are also incredible. The pavilion in the background has also been built to hold part of the exhibition...I have to find out when it's opening.
These trees are part of a worldwide Art Installation. They are in a public square in downtown Seattle, and you have to take my word for it...the shade of blue is really quite extraordinary. I have seen these trees a million times over the years, and to see them this way really altered my view of the entire surrounding area. Questions regarding the mess, the potential damage to the trees aside. I think the execution behind this installation really works.
