Cobweb Houseleek (sempervivum arachnoideum): Your succulent is a Sempervivum arachnoideum prized for its contrasting white webbing in the center of the rosette foliage. Needs full sun and water sparingly - water only when soil feels dry to the touch down to the first knuckle. Can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees F. if dry. Keep on the dry side during summer months and protect from temperatures above 75 degrees. F. Indoors or on patio needs bright indirect light.
Bunny Ears Polkadot Cactus (opuntia microdasys var albispina): This is native to Mexico and another member of the common named "Prickly Pears". It is shrub forming over time and has yellow flowers in spring. Take care not to touch the "glochids", the dots of minute spines. They detach readily and can cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Does best in full sun to light shade. Water thoroughly when soil becomes dry and protect from frost to avoid damage or scarring.

Spider Plant Problem: The problem might be a drainage issue. If the container has no drainage holes, then root rot is likely to develop as you describe. Most houseplants need excellent drainage. Suggest you switch to a container that has drainage holes or in a pot within a decorative container.
