The Rundle Park Golf course has opened on permanent greens. Due to early season conditions, only pull-carts and walking are allowed (no power carts). Opening tee times depend on frost. Creek overflow has led to the closure of the lower granular trail south of Connors Road, from approx. 93 St. to 95 St. in Mill Creek Ravine. Winter fun is found outside! Your child will love the Jr. Rangers program from River Valley Programs. They'll have outdoor adventures with two full days of snowshoeing, fire building, tobogganing and bannock making! This program runs February 26 and 27 for children 5-7 years of age. The snow is coming down and a cross-country ski lesson is coming up, Sat. February 7 at the Victoria Golf Course Driving Range. This program, for those age 16 and up, will teach the basics of classical technique; striding, stopping, turning, uphill/downhill techniques and how to fall safely. Things are always growing at the Muttart Conservatory—including the popular Kids Corner drop-in program! This activity for preschoolers and their parents now runs year-round. Tuesdays from 2-2:30PM and Fridays from 10:30-11AM, you and your child will laugh and learn together as you discover the world of plants. Your child will love Plant Magic at the Muttart Conservatory, where they'll meet plants that range from daffy to deadly. They'll end their visit with a whimsical craft, plant a leaf that will grow into a new plant when they take it home. Plant Magic is open to kids from ages 6-9 and costs $20 per child.
