The Royal Bank of Canada Jan 3rd 1927 $100 - CH-630-14-20 Very little wear can be seen on this high denomination beauty. It is always fun to see $100 charter notes issued while Canada was still using large size banknotes. They are very impressive and tough to find, especially in VF grades.
The Canadian Bank of Commerce 1st May 1912 $5 - CH-75-14-14 Here is an issued note from The Canadian Bank of Commerce. It dates to 1912. We are being very conservative by calling it just fine. If you view this one as VF then you should have no problem paying above our estimate here.
The Royal Bank of Canada Jan 2nd 1909 $20 - CH-630-10-04-22 This is likely the rarest Canadian note we are offering for sale tonight. Right now we see only about a dozen pieces that are known to exist. The catalog value is $4,500 in fine and $7,500 in VF. This particular example faces up really nicely with its light blue color and lion vignette. The back has four sticky spots on the corners from where this note was removed from a frame.
A paltry 17,500 pieces of the French version of the 1935 $100 Canada note were issued. The example offered here faces up far nicer than a 15. However, just being in a problem free holder should be enough to make this piece very appealing.
