This is from a totally different family from the other plant by the same name, but the vine (thunbergia alata), shares with rudbeckia the yellow petals and black "eye"
Otherwise known as Black-eyed-Susan. The epitome of high summer in the cottage garden.

This variety is called High Scent. They smell gorgeous, and as they age they get a purple blush along the edge of each flower.
This is a thornless variety called AAC Eden. The flowers are just beginning to form berries.
Here are the berries ripening. They are green as they are growing and then as they begin to be ripe the pink colour comes through. This year I made jelly from my berries and the resulting colour was exactly "pink champagne."
