Friends, I am tired! The first week back at school after break really kicked my butt! We had two full days at a statewide conference and three days back at school for meetings. In amongst all of that I had a bazillion things that I wanted to do in my classroom... I got about 0.002% of those things done! Print out pictures of teeth and have them laminated. Then, use dry erase markers to draw sugar bugs and have the kids use a tooth brush to get them off. This activity was a huge hit with all the kids!!
Great way to take attendance especially if you have kids who go to speech, resource, OT, gifted, etc first thing in the morning. Got it from Scholastic's "Classroom Management in Pictures".

"Terrific Teeth" - helps teach kids the importance of brushing their teeth and provides a good visual for practicing good oral hygiene. Made with pink construction paper, cut up egg carton (each little egg holder is one of the teeth) then I used gree pre-wrap as the plaque/germs inbetween the "teeth" students then use dental floss to get the plaque/pre-wrap out.
