Back of Owl From front, all the way around I used an icing bag & tip, made big circles, and swept them up with a flat spatula. Then, did second row, until I came to the top. Made wispy, to look like feathers
Owl Cake I used 2- 6in round cake pans, and a "ball" cake pan. (1/2). Let cool, and trim tops, put cut side down, ice between layers, and do a thin "crumb coat" with desired icing. put in fridge and let the crumb coat of icing harden. You can do many different layers for the feathers, and colors too. (With fondant) eyes, beak, ears, and feet are made with fondant as well.
