Doppelganger Stories 2
German word Doppelgänger means "apparition of a person living." In Ancient Egyptian mythology, a ka was a tangible "spirit double" having the same memories and feelings as the person to whom the counterpart belongs. In Norse mythology, a vardøger is a ghostly double who precedes a living person and is seen performing their actions in advance. In Breton mythology as well as in Cornish and Norman French folklore, the doppelgänger is a version of the Ankou, a personification of Death, which means it is to believed that if you see your Doppelgänger, it`s a sign of your own upcomming death.
