This originally stated "bug hunting" but the way I would use this would be to ask if the kids can recognize what is in the tub, and after the kids are all done guessing, I would then tell the children that we would be making a garden.

Rolly Polly Bugs! (Pill Bugs) On this day we threw some leaves into the creek and followed them as they floated down stream. There are no salmon yet, but we hope to see some soon!
