Each girl got matching pearl earrings and necklace before the wedding. Contacted a local artist and together handpicked each pearl and created each necklace to be different from the others. Placed the gifts inside of an oyster shell, as these girls are my pearls.
Typed on my typewriter, stamped with a custom made stamp and displayed on a mini typewriter with the letters " L. O. V. E" in white. Personalized cards for guests to find their seats :) many took their name tags and typewriters home ^_^
I never got to meet my husband's grandfather and he never got to meet my grandmother. Both were huge inspirations in our lives so we both decided to place their photos within our ceremony as tribute to them. My husband also lost two of his cousins tragically the same year before we got married.
My husband and I put our favourite books on each table along with a "living" plant book. We thought this could be a way for people to "break the ice" and talk about mutual books or other things as a way to introduce themselves to one another :)
Each Groomsman had a paper flower hand made by me. The flowers were pages from books and poetry that I grew up with and really impacted me. Paired with lavender (to match the girls) and wrapped together with twine
