Easy Brunswick Stew by Southern Living. This classic Southern stew recipe features okra, barbecued pork, lima beans, and chopped chicken simmered together in the slow-cooker for a hearty one-dish meal.
Brunswick Stew-1 C cooked ground beef, 2 large chicken breast (cooked and shredded), 32 oz can diced tomatoes, 2 cans cream style corn, 1 C chopped onions, 10 oz ketchup, 2T lemon juice, 3R Worcestershire sauce, dash tobacco. Combine ingredients in crockpot and cook on high 3-5 hours. I have substituted shredded pork for the chicken.
This is definitely a labor of love, but so tasty and filling and so worth the time and effort on a cold winter day! It can be prepared in advance then frozen in an airtight containers for up to 2-3 months. To prepare from frozen, thaw soup, pour into pot, bring just to a boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
