Warning Signs that the "Strong Female Character" in the movie is it strong for the sake of the male gaze. (Pinning this because I see this so much when reading the work of new writers.

I seem to recall hearing somewhere that a few Disney movies apparently failed the Bechdel test because talking animals don’t technically count as female characters. Is that what’s happening here? The characters no longer count as PoC representation when they get turned into animals?

Disney totally needs more "PoC" representation, amirite fellow progressive friends..?

Female Character Drawing Class by gabbyd70.deviantart.com on @DeviantArt

I can& wait to share my class on Skillshare for drawing female characters. I& take you step by step through drawing little faces similar to this one. I& really looking forward to seeing .

I remember watching this for the first time in 7th grade, and it was the middle of the night, and I was sitting alone, and I cried. Because right then I knew that this is what I need to stand for. For women, for POC, for people in general. And that was the most important moment of my life. It sounds super cheesy but it's true. This TED talk changed my outlook on a lot of things.

"In actuality, women are complicated. Women are multi-faceted, not because women are crazy. But because people are crazy, and women just happen to be people." <<< I love how a 15 year old said this, like yassssssss you go gurl!
