During this highly experimental workshop we explored the potential of incremental forming of plastic in an architectural context. Over a week-long workshop we went at the very limits of both material and machine, finetuning the fabrication strategies in the process.

This work was done in the SCI-Arc Robot House by students Ryan Baum Peter Biggart Brian Laursen in their Applied Studies Seminar Fluid Formworks taught by David Ross. @ryanbaum The process is call Single Point Incremental forming where the stock material is fixed in a frame that holds the perimeter while a robot moves along a path that stretches the material into the designed form. See these works in the Spring Show through May 15th. by sciarc ...

I posted a video of Ben hitting free throws in my IG story a couple days ago. My DMs aint never poppin but folks had allllllll the opinions when I said his form was looking good. Heres an extended video of him shooting and I notice 1) His feet are now shoulder length apart when they werent before 2) He hangs the follow through up much longer and 3) Hes a work in progress so expect incremental growth But as you can see in the end who cares cause hes 610 with bounce and can rip the rim off…
