I am grateful I've learnt that my mental and emotional well being are both needed in balance for holistic mind, body and spirit wellness.

May is Mental Health Month, it was started 67 years ago to raise awareness about mental health conditions and the importance of good mental health for everyone.  One of the biggest hurdles for anyone suffering from mental illness is overcoming the stigma.  It is the number one reason why two-thirds of those living with a mental illness do not seek help. Break the stigma.  Expressions like “You’ll get over it” and “Just relax” can minimize how a person is feeling. Instead offer your support.

I hate when people say there mood is so bipolar. You have no idea what you are talking about. It is a chronic mental illness that is beyond difficult to deal with at times! ~ Bipolar & all mental illnesses are not anyone's fault.

I'm not sure about all of these.. Because I am bipolar.. And I do have OCD.. As well as panic attacks.. And when something scares me enough that I feel like I might have a panic attack I will say so.. As well as if I am being a little too obsessive about things.. The bipolar I can understand.. I tell people I am low..

I hate it when people use mental disorders as adjectives, especially the bipolar one. My mom actually does have bipolar, we both have OCD, and I do get panic attacks.a lot. Mental disorders are not something to joke about, ever!
