The National Transportation Safety Board has agreed to consider reopening investigation into what caused an Iowa plane crash that killed musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and pilot Roger Peterson.
Buddy Holly played at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa on Feb. 1959 , On Feb. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, & the Big Bopper died in a plane crash in route to the next stop. The date has now become known as "the day the music died.
