Medieval Style Folding Chair
Folding chairs have been in existence since ancient Egypt, around 1000-2000 BC. My chair is based on examples in artwork dating from the 1300s, as shown in the second photo. This folding chair is made of white oak and has hand-carved figures on the arms and legs. It is 30" wide, 16" deep, and the seat is 18" high. A perfect portable chair for Renaissance Fairs, SCA gatherings, and other medieval reenactments. It is also well suited in the home as a side chair.
