How to Do a Lunge

Bikini-Ready By June 1
Single leg row: Stand with feet hip-width apart, a dumbbell in right hand. Shift weight to right leg, knee soft, and bend forward at hips, raising left leg behind you until it's parallel to ground. Extend right arm down, palm facing behind you, keeping left hand on hip. Squeeze glutes as you lift dumbbell to rib cage (as shown), then lower. Do 10 reps, then switch legs and arms, and repeat.

Warrior lunge: Stand with feet together, knees soft, a dumbbell in each hand in front of shoulders, palms in. Lunge forward with left leg as you turn right toes out to open hips and extend right arm toward left (as shown). Return to start. Do 10 reps; switch sides; repeat.
