From www.fredbeaupre.com This is the "Fontaine de Tourny" standing in front of the Parliament of Quebec. It was 4 o'clock in the morning, it was freezing cold and so windy. I could barely feel my hands at all. In the end, the result is rewarding! Merry Christmas to you all and I wish that 2013 will be a marvelous photography year!

Frontenacadabra Order a limited edition print of this photo at www.fredbeaupre.com This shot was taken at the Aquarium du Québec by night as a part of Quebecadabra festival. This is a special moment where there are lots of projections around Quebec City and it's a playground for photographers! What you see here is a reproduction of the Château Frontenac and some of Old Quebec City buildings.

The sleeping parliament / Le parlement endormi From www.fredbeaupre.com This is the Parliament of Quebec taken just after a snowstorm. It was 4 o'clock so it was quite calm. It is always funny to go out and take pictures while the city is sleeping. Voici le Parlement de Québec pris juste après une tempête de neige. À 4 heures du matin, le site était très calme. C'est toujours un drôle de sentiment d'aller prendre des photos lorsque la ville est endormie.

Quebec City in the cold. This is a snowy and cold view of superb Quebec City. We can see the Château Frontenac facing the Saint Lawrence River. I took this shot from an unknown park in town. In fact, the Terrasse Pierre Dugua de Mons is one of the most beautiful viewpoint in town and is also one of the loneliest spot.

Coloured frozen fishes Order a limited edition print of this photo at www.fredbeaupre.com This is another shot I took at the Aquarium du Québec... in Quebec City for Quebecadabra. I'm guessing this was the part representing the aquarium itself!

Order a limited edition print of this photo at www.fredbeaupre.com Here is the melting Bras-du Nord river, near Saint-Raymond. Luckily, two of my friends followed me and woke up at 5h00 "just to take photos". Thanks to Jean-Sébastien and Isabelle which made this moment much more fun than when I am alone. While the sun was rising up, a mouse jumped right in the water. I hope for it that there was a tunnel somewhere under the snow.
