Favorite architectural feature: Porte cohere stone work for driveway
Basement ceiling. Need to keep access to plumbing so used white washed paneling cut into halves. Attached to ceiling but used screws where we need future access. Trim covers edges of boards. Cut holes for recessed lighting. Love it. Did have cheap looking dropped ceiling this gives 5 extra inches of head room.
Light and Airy: String lights from Target twinkle over the front porch of this Ohio lake house, and Pottery Barn wicker furniture surrounds an antique folding table, where the family plays cards. Click through for more porches and patios we love.
This is an attainable version of a porch with an outdoor kitchen. Like everything from the pitch of the roof to the materials. If I could have a back porch of this width and maybe twice the length that the pic shows, I would be happy.
