Super sleigh: Santa Claus took to the skies in style when he made a special stop at Royal Columbian Hospital on Dec. 13 to visit sick kids and spread some holiday cheer along with some gifts. Helijet and the B.C. Ambulance Service jointly host the program every year at Royal Columbian and Victoria General Hospitals - both of which have heli-pads for helicopters to land on the roof.

Season of giving: Blaine Desjarlais collects donations for the Salvation Army on Sixth Street outside Tim Hortons. The local kettle campaign fell a little short of its goals but organizers are still very pleased with the generosity of the donors.
