Emily Carr, Canadian painter, beautiful and rather badass. She was kicked out of the ‘Ladies Art Club’ for cursing and smoking, and was associated with the Group of Seven, She kept many pets, including a monkey. She painted the Canadian landscape and First Nations traditions, because she feared they would soon disappear.
