Small Sugar and Jack of All Trades Pumpkins field grown in Northern Ontario. Inorder to field grow Pumpkins in the short growing season in our Northern climate we start seeds indoors in Late May and transplant out in Mid to late June. We select smaller pumpkin varieties with a shorter growing season. We protect from frost until October when we harvest them. Pumpkins that are not fully ripe are held in cold storage where they will continue to ripen.
