A Sherman of The South Alberta Regiment, 4th Canadian Armoured Division pokes its nose out from cover in St. Lambert-Sur-Dives, France, Aug 19, 1944. They were right to be cautious, to the right of the picture on the right hand side of the road rest the remains of a German Tiger tank. It has suffered a massive internal explosion that has blown its turret into the hedgerow, with only the gun tube visible. As late as 1975 parts of this Tiger were being found in the hedgerow by collectors.
