Church of the Transfiguration, a Byzantine Revival cathedral. It was the first church in North America to be consecrated by a Pope, John Paul II blessed the cornerstone during his trip to Canada in 1984. The world's largest three-bell carillon was breathtaking to listen to, and could be heard and seen by drivers on Highway 404. The mosaics contain about 5 million pieces. It's referred as the "onion church" due to the stunning sheet metal domes fabricated by Heather & Little Canada.
