It also helped me to understand some of the multi-generational disconnects and traumas that my Mohawk-Quebecoise-Irish ancestors endured.

Part of this wonderful book takes place in Chicago, including the murder of a Native man during the Chicago Democratic Convention of Native people were not to be seen or heard.
